Does The Crazies follow the Classic Hollywood Narrative? Why/Why not?
The Crazies does not follow the CHN because it begins with a very big event which is definitely not a state of equilibrium. The disruption has already began.

How many of Propps characters can be identified in the film?
Although Propps characters can be identified in this film, a lot of them cross over between different people. For example, you could state that the main couple are the heroes and that Russell is a false hero, but at the end, Russell turns into a hero. You could also argue that the wife is a 'princess' character because a lot of the time she is portrayed as the victim who needs saving. The villain characters are obvious, and they don't really have helpers/doners in this.

List 4 examples of Binary Oppositions in the film?
- Good vs Evil
- Clean vs Infected
- In Control vs Being Controlled
- Dead vs Alive

Give 2 examples of events that cause events later in the film but which occur before the film starts?
The plane crash is the most pivotal moment but we don't see it. It causes just about every event in the film yet we never see the plane come down. We also never see the baseball ground get set on fire, we just see the after effects of it all.

List 2 events from the 92 minute film that happen in a different time and space to the one that we are shown?

We don't see the carrying of the virus or the loading of the plane with the 'virus' which is pretty much the centre of the entire plot, and we also don't see what happens at the end. It is implied that they are killed, but we never find out if they do.
